Mad River Web is a full service web site hosting company affiliated with Mad River Consulting.

Pricing Levels (invoiced quarterly or yearly):

  • Basic, $30 per quarter or $120 per year: hosting, (email provided by your ISP)
  • Basic Plus, $45 per quarter or $150 per year: hosting plus up to 5 email aliases, spam filtering, virus scanning; Webalizer traffic stats
  • Standard, $75 per quarter: above plus up to 5 pop accounts and/or aliases, webmail, links from our websites, FTP accounts
  • Premium, $90 per quarter: above plus up to 15 pop accounts and/or aliases, databases, dynamic pages, admin consoles, password protected directories, bandwidth usage above 7 MB per day
  • Premium Plus, $150 per quarter: above plus unlimited pop accounts and/or aliases, bandwidth usage above 60 MB per day, heavier spam loads

Non-Profit Website Hosting

Mad River Web and Mad River Consulting are committed to supporting the Mad River Valley and Vermont. We will consider providing non-profit organizations that serve the community one of the following economical hosting options (setup fee applies).

  • No charge: hosting, no domain email, donation by MadRiverWeb noted in link
  • $60 per year: hosting, alias email w/ virus scanning
  • $30 per quarter or $100 per year: above plus Webalizer traffic stats

Other services have spam recognition only or limited filtering and request that you use additional software as needed on your computer(s). For our reasonable fee, let us take care of it for you. If you receive any unwanted spam, send us full-header examples of email you would like to eliminate.
  • Assistance and guidance with domain name registrations or transfer (please, let us do it for you).
  • A link from MadRiverWeb.com, MadRiverConsulting.com, MadRiverStore.com, MadRiverBytes.com, MadRiverArts.com, MadRiverWeddings.com, MadRiverRentals.com, etc., as appropriate, for added website traffic.
  • Personal service during business hours, emergency tech support via email and/or cell phone.
  • With premium hosting, access to additional features and software tailored to your needs such as databases, custom scripting, secure pages and certificates, on-line ordering, shopping cart software. (Implementation of additional features and functionality is normally an additional development and/or hosting cost.)

Set-up, includes the following as necessary, $30.00 to $60.00

  • Retrieval (from current server, if FTP info available, or from CD you provide) and upload of your existing website to server. Please review the process carefully.
  • Email alias or pop box programming.
  • Set-up of traffic logging and statistics.
  • Registration/transfer of one domain name at $15.00 (one year added to transfered registrations), with additional domains at $15.00 per year per domain, using our choice of registry. Working with Network Solutions typically costs more.

What you don't get:

  • Unwanted banner ads on your website.
  • A website control panel or user interface where you have to struggle through your own administration.
  • A hit counter visible to the rest of the world.
  • A faceless support or administrative staff with no personal relationship to your account, incorrect and impossible-to-correct issues with your account.
  • Expired domain names, unexpected website disappearance (if we are the administrative contact for your domain).
